Title:  Supervising Clinician, Regional Recourse Group, DCF Waterbury
Work Responsibilities: Supervises a multi-disciplinary medical-clinical unit comprised of psychiatric social workers, a nurse, pediatric nurse practitioners and a substance abuse specialist. Provide clinical consultation, training and limited direct services for social workers and managers involved with complex, multi-problem, multi-agency involved child welfare cases involving children, adolescents and families.
Previous Social Work Experience: Community & therapeutic recreation with specialized populations (children with disabilities, youth-at-risk); Outward Bound, Wilderness School; worked in youth runaway shelters, residential care and mental health therapeutic communities; Children's Psychiatric Hospital.
Professional Organizations and Related Groups: Member, Governors Task Force 1998 to study Violent Sexual Predators and make recommendations to legislature; Member, Governors Committee on Standards & Credentials for professionals who provide evaluation and treatment to Sex Offenders.
