Families in Crisis, Inc. Youth Enrichment Program (YES) Court Outreach Program Sesame Street Program
Description: is dedicated to helping children at risk, offenders, and their families learn how to constructively succeed as individuals, as members of a family, and as members of our society. FIC provides specialized services including prevention, transportation, counseling, educational programs and referral services which focus on strengthening the family, enhancing community safety and promoting individual responsibility. Youth Enrichment Program (YES) is an after school program for children,-- ages 6 through 12 years-- who have an incarcerated parent . Tutoring and academic support; recreational activities and field trips; individual and group counseling. Court Outreach Program operates in Hartford and Waterbury Courts. Outreach workers approach families and inform them of resources that may be helpful to them, including FIC Counseling and support services. Sesame Street Program operate at the Osborn Correction Institution in Somers, CT and York Correctional Institution in Niantic, CT. These programs operate during the weekend visiting hours at each facility. Requirement: Criminal background check

Catholic Charities/Catholic Family Services The Hartford Choice Program
Description: is an intensive, community based, multiple service program. A comprehensive aftercare program working in direct contact with juveniles on parole in the Greater Hartford area. An intern will work to support a team of caseworkers dealing with up to 22 clients. Intern responsibilities include maintaining daily logs, assessments, monthly reports, etc. Flexible schedule. Training is provided.

Community Partners in Action The
Resettlement Program
Description: This program is designed to assist offenders transition back into the community following their incarceration. It gives ongoing assistance to former prisoners in finding and accessing those community resources that will be useful in locating housing, employment, education, food and other necessities.
