Central 'n the Hood Youth Leadership Camp |
During the week of
June 24-29, 2002, thirty-two New Britain youth, ages 9-14 years attended the 1st
Central ‘n the Hood Youth Leadership Camp sponsored by Central
Connecticut State University, School of Arts & Sciences, and Weed and Seed
of New Britain, City of New Britain, City of New Britain Police Department and
US Attorney’s Office, Connecticut National Guard DDRTF
The purpose of the camp was to increase awareness of higher education and to develop youth leadership skills. Interested youth will continue on a youth commission that will meet monthly to develop programs and projects.
